BUDUDA ACTING CLUB

Bududa Acting Club also known as the BAC is a registered non - governmental organization formed in 2015  by a group of young  passionate actors from Mbale District, Uganda.

​The BAC is dedicated to empowering Uganda’s youth through the transformative power of film and drama. Our mission is to nurture creativity, foster self-expression, and create opportunities for young people to tell their stories and influence positive change in their communities.

​                                                               OUR MISSION:

​

​At Bududa Acting Club , we believe that every young person has a unique voice and story to share. Our mission is to provide a platform for youth across Uganda to engage in film and drama arts, enabling them to develop their talents, gain critical skills, and become active contributors to society. By offering training, resources, and opportunities for public presentation, we aim to inspire confidence, encourage teamwork, and spark social change.

​                                                                WHAT WE DO :​

​

1. Training and Workshops:  We offer comprehensive training programs in film production, screenwriting, acting, and other drama-related skills. Our workshops are designed to equip young people with the technical and creative skills needed to excel in the industry.​

​

2. Creative Projects:  Bududa Acting Club supports youth-led film and drama projects, providing the resources and mentorship necessary to bring their creative visions to life. From short films to theatrical productions, we help facilitate the entire production process.

 

3. Community Engagement:  Our projects are designed to address local issues and amplify the voices of Uganda’s youth. By creating content that resonates with their communities, we foster dialogue and inspire collective action on pressing social issues.

 

4. Showcases and Festivals: We organize film screenings and drama festivals to give young artists a platform to showcase their work. These events celebrate their achievements and connect them with industry professionals and audiences.

Since our inception, Bududa Acting Club  has empowered hundreds of young Ugandans to explore their artistic potential and pursue careers in the creative arts. Through our initiatives, we have seen increased self-esteem, improved community engagement, and a growing movement of youth who are passionate about storytelling and social change.
